Our Work

Lifelong Support Through Specialized Education and Care

Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities need long-term support that combines education, therapy, care and social inclusion.
Children learning at Si Asha Foundation

Across education, therapy and inclusion

The Si Asha Model

At Si Asha Foundation, we have developed a comprehensive model that accompanies children and young people throughout their lives — from early childhood to adulthood — ensuring they can learn, grow and participate in society with dignity.

Special education classroom

Special Education

Si Asha Foundation runs specialised schools for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.

Our schools follow a specialised educational model developed by Si Asha Foundation, combining trained professionals, adapted methodologies and personalised learning tailored to each child. Beyond academic learning, students also participate in creative and therapeutic activities such as music and art, helping them develop communication, confidence and emotional expression.

Therapy session

Therapy & Rehabilitation

Many children require continuous therapeutic support to strengthen mobility, communication and daily functioning.

Our centres provide physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and hydrotherapy, integrating rehabilitation into everyday routines so that progress becomes part of daily life. Therapy helps children develop autonomy, improve wellbeing and participate more actively in school and social environments.

Residential facility

Residential Care

Some children live far from our schools, come from vulnerable family situations or are orphans.

For them, Asha Hostel provides a safe and stable living environment where children can continue their education and therapies while receiving daily care. Life at the hostel includes nutritious meals, structured routines and recreational activities in a supportive and caring environment.

Health monitoring

Health Monitoring

Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities often require regular health supervision.

Our centres include a nurse who monitors the children's health, tracking vital signs, development indicators and general wellbeing while coordinating with medical professionals when needed. Daily routines also ensure proper nutrition, hygiene and a stable environment that supports each child's development.

Vocational training

Vocational Training

As students grow older, our programmes help them develop practical skills for adult life.

Through adapted vocational training and life-skills activities, young people learn routines, responsibilities and abilities that support autonomy and future participation in society. The goal is to help each person reach their highest level of independence.

Labour inclusion programme

Labour Inclusion

Si Asha Foundation works to create real opportunities for young people with intellectual disabilities once they finish their education.

Some former students have been able to join our own schools and programmes as staff members, becoming part of the professional team that supports the next generation of students. At the same time, we are building a growing network of companies open to inclusive employment, creating pathways for people with intellectual disabilities to access meaningful work and participate in society with dignity.

Day care centre

Day Care Centre

For adults with profound disabilities who cannot access vocational programmes, Si Asha Foundation provides a Day Care Centre.

Here they participate in structured daily activities and therapeutic support in a safe and caring environment focused on wellbeing, stimulation and maintaining functional abilities and independence in everyday life.

Family support programme

Family Support

Families play a central role in the development and wellbeing of children with disabilities.

Si Asha Foundation provides guidance and counselling so families can better understand disability and feel supported in the long-term care of their children. By supporting families, we help create stable environments where children can continue developing their abilities both at school and at home.

Awareness and inclusion

Awareness and Inclusion

In many contexts, intellectual disabilities are still misunderstood or invisible.

Si Asha Foundation works to promote awareness, understanding and respect, helping create a society where children and young people with disabilities are recognised and valued. Building inclusion also means transforming how society sees disability.

Children and educators at Si Asha Foundation

A Lifelong Model of Support

At Si Asha Foundation, support does not end at a single stage of life.

Our programmes accompany children and young people from early childhood through adulthood, combining education, therapy, care and social inclusion in a continuous pathway.

Because real change requires presence, structure and long-term commitment.

Making Education Accessible

Si Asha Foundation believes that specialised education should be accessible to every child.

Families contribute according to their possibilities, while the foundation covers the majority of the real cost of education, therapy and care.

For families who cannot afford these contributions, scholarships ensure that no child is excluded for financial reasons.

Growing network

Where We Work

Si Asha Foundation operates through a growing network of Asha Schools and Rehabilitation Centers in Nepal, bringing specialised education and services closer to families.

Our vision is to expand province by province, so that access to education and therapy does not depend on geography.

Take action.

Take action.
Create hope.

Hope is not something we wait for. It is built every day — through care, commitment and action.
